Nick Eaton geeft op zijn blog meer achtergrond en bronnen bij deze stap. En onderbouwt dat de bedreiging voor Microsoft gering is. Hij geeft aan dat VMWare driftig investeert in een “app store” voor virtuele applicaties. En met dit initiatief aan het begin van een strategie staat, waarvan nog onduidelijk is hoe succesvol deze zal zijn.
